My four dogs saw me through the darkest days of my life.
As I put the pieces of my life back together, I became obsessed with two questions:
How can I feel happier and healthier?
And how can I do the same for my dogs?
I dove deep into the modern science + ancient wisdom of how to create the more beautiful world that I knew was possible—for me and my dogs.
What I learned dramatically transformed all of us.
As I healed, so did my dogs. As I got happier and healthier, so did my dogs.
Many of the practices that I was using to improve my own mental, emotional and physical health were also having unintended—but positive—effects on my dogs.
It’s now my mission to share those practices and shifts that transformed me and my dogs from paralyzing fear and anxiety to radiant health and happiness—and show you how you can do the same.

I adopted Layla as a companion for Archie—and then three days later, he died. Here’s the story of who Layla is and how she helped me open my heart to yet another old, abandoned Boxer in need of love.
For more than a decade I’ve built a professional and personal reputation based on how deeply I love and care for dogs. And then all my dogs were gone. This is the story of how I got through, what I learned, and what I wish everyone could understand about navigating the grief of losing a dog.
Archie was not an easy dog to love, but those are the dogs that I love the deepest. Feeling loved, and feeling safe, transformed him.
